Big screen movie sequel Mortal Kombat II is headed our way this Halloween season, and Warner Bros. has let us know that the film’s official trailer launches tomorrow, July 17.

In the meantime, they’ve given us a first look at Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage in a faux trailer for Uncaged Fury, a fictional movie from the in-world universe of Mortal Kombat II.

Watch that below and come on back tomorrow at 12pm ET for the Mortal Kombat II trailer.

Simon McQuoid returns to the director’s seat for Mortal Kombat 2, which will feature a screenplay by Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist,” “Moon Knight”). It hits theaters on October 24.

Mortal Kombat II is rated “R” for “strong bloody violence and gore, and language.”

The cast of fresh faces for Mortal Kombat II includes Martyn Ford (“The Sandman”), Desmond Chiam (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), Ana Thu Nguyen (Suka), and Damon Herriman (House of WaxThe Nightingale), alongside Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

In 2021’s Mortal Kombat, ”MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage—or why Outworld’s Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu KangKung Lao and rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana—the immense power from within his soul—in time to save not only his family, but to stop Outworld once and for all?”
