‘Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered’ Out Now on PC, Consoles [Trailer]
by Mike Wilson · Bloody DisgustingCrystal Dynamics and PlayEveryWare have released Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered today on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The remaster of the classic action-adventure game will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is the definitive version of the dark fantasy adventure, originally released back in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, original Xbox and Windows. Return to the world of Nosgoth as you control both the vampire Kain and his betrayed lieutenant, Raziel, two mighty beings bound by the conflict between fate and free will.
Featuring updated HD visuals, players can experience Nosgoth like never before with a new camera, as well as upgraded character models, textures, and environments, with the ability to switch between classic and modern presentations on the fly. You can also play the game with the original fixed camera or a new third-person camera built for modern platforms.
There is also a slew of bonus content, including a photo mode, alternate character skins, a comprehensive lore reader, unreleased content and ‘lost levels’ from the original game.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is available today in multiple editions, including the Standard Edition, featuring the full base game, and the Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, a comic book reader (with three classic comics) and a demo of the unreleased sixth game in the series: Legacy of Kain: The Dark Prophecy.
