Income Tax Raids Conducted At Film Producer Dil Raju’s Properties In Hyderabad

Velamkucha Venkata Ramana Reddy, known as Dil Raju, is a prominent Telugu film producer whose latest release was the movie Game Changer.

The Income Tax department officials started to raid office and residence of film producer Dil Raju in Hyderabad. Dil Raju is the owner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and the raids are being carried out at eight different locations.

Dil Raju, whose real name is Velamkucha Venkata Ramana Reddy, is a prominent Telugu film distributor and producer. He is also Chairman for Telangana Film Development corporation. However, the reason for the search is yet to be known. 

In the past years, he has produced Varisu (Tamil debut), Shaakuntalam, The Family Star, Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunam. 

The searches are being conducted in connection with allegations of tax evasion. They also mentioned that locations linked to other film producers are being searched. Several premises across the city, including those in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills, are part of this search operation.

In addition, IT officials are also conducting searches at the premises of the promoters of Mythri Movie Makers. Mythri Movies, known for producing Allu Arjun's Pushpa and other major hits, is a prominent film production company.

Founded in 2015 by Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, and Mohan Cherukuri, Mythri Movie Makers is a leading player in the Telugu film industry. Currently, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar head the company, after Mohan Cherukuri left in 2019 to establish Vyra Entertainments.
