Grammy Nominations 2026: See The List

by · Stereogum

The Grammys are just around the corner, on Sunday, Feb. 1, and now we know who’ll be competing for the awards. The Recording Academy announced the nominees in a livestream this morning.

Kendrick Lamar leads the field with nine nominations, including Album Of The Year for GNX and both Song and Record Of The Year for his SZA duet “Luther.” Jack Antonoff, Cirkut, and Lady Gaga are next with seven nods each, followed by Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Serban Ghenea, and Leon Thomas with six each. Check out this list of artists with five nominations: Clipse(!), Doechii, Sounwave, SZA, Turnstile(!), Andrew Watt, and Tyler, The Creator.

Dijon snagged a nomination for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical, while Tyler, The Creator is up for both Best Rap Album and Best Alternative Music Album. Mavis Staples is nominated for Best Americana Performance for her cover of Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed.” Deftones, Chappell Roan, Hayley Williams, Wet Leg, the Cure, Bon Iver, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Tyler Childers, Haim, and HUNTR/X are also among those in the mix. (Better luck next time, Saja Boys!) For the first time since 2007, Taylor Swift didn’t release any music in the eligibility window. Starting this year, post-Cowboy Carter, country albums are separated into two categories: Contemporary and Traditional.

Among the noteworthy snubs are the Weeknd, who made a surprise return to the ceremony last year after several years boycotting the show over previous snubs, plus Lorde, Ravyn Lenae, Ella Langley, Gracie Abrams, Megan Moroney, and Grammy darlings Elton John and Brandi Carlile, who released an album together this year.

Missing from the Producer Of The Year field is three-time winner Antonoff, who otherwise had a successful day; according to his rep, he’s the “first ever producer/songwriter to earn nominations in all three major categories – Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year – with two different artists in the same year.”
