A day after it was announced that James Gunn and Peter Safran would be joining the newly merged company's CEO Business Leadership Team as Co-Chairmen of DC Studios, Skydance CEOs David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz announced on Tuesday that the Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros. Discovery merger deal was complete, and that the Skydance Corporation era was officially underway. Earlier today, we speculated on what the move could mean in the long term, given that Gunn and Safran's current contracts expire in April 2027. In addition, we continued to make the case for shifting DC Comics oversight to DC Studios, noting how recent moves might make that a very creatively viable idea.
