Report Claims Loki May Only Have a Handful of Scenes in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Marvel fans have been eagerly waiting to see how Tom Hiddleston’s Loki fits into the next massive MCU event film, Avengers: Doomsday.

After the character’s huge evolution in the Disney+ series Loki, expectations have been high for the God of Mischief’s return to the big screen. But a new rumor suggests that Loki might not be around nearly as much as fans hoped.

According to online scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Loki’s role in the film may actually be pretty limited. The claim was shared on X, and it immediately caught the attention of Marvel fans who have been hoping Loki would play a major part in the next Avengers story.

The post reads: “Loki only has 2 or 3 scenes in Avengers Doomsday.”

That’s obviously not a lot of screen time for one of the MCU’s most beloved characters, and a lot of fans were disappointed to hear the possibility of such a small role, especially after the character’s emotional arc in Loki.

One fan responded: “Bummer. He’s probably the main reason I was interested overall.”

Another fan referenced earlier rumors about Loki’s fate, writing: “And he dies. Of all characters I wanted Loki to have a happy ending especially with Thor. Very sad.”

If the rumor is accurate, Loki’s limited presence might still be tied to a much larger story unfolding in the film. Another scooper, MAJESTIC_ucm, previously claimed that a major storyline could involve the Time Variance Authority.

According to that report, Thor and Steve Rogers travel to the TVA during a mission, only to arrive after a catastrophic event has already taken place.

The rumor suggests the TVA may have been destroyed, with Loki and several characters from the Disney+ series possibly killed in the process.

Earlier speculation from MyTimeToShineHello also hinted that Loki’s death could tie into Doctor Doom’s plan to take control of the multiverse. If that ends up being true, Loki’s scenes in Avengers: Doomsday might be few in number but extremely important to the bigger multiverse story Marvel is building.

Of course, none of this has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, so it’s best to take it all with a grain of salt for now. Rumors surrounding MCU projects tend to fly around constantly as production ramps up.

Still, the idea that Loki might only appear briefly is surprising considering how central the character has been to the multiverse narrative. After everything that happened in Loki, fans naturally expected Hiddleston’s version of the character to have a major role in the next Avengers event.

We’ll just have to wait and see what Marvel has planned when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. If Loki really does only show up for a couple of scenes, let’s hope they’re the kind that leave a lasting impact.
