John Malkovich Is a Reclusive Pop Star in Trailer for the Horror Thriller OPUS with Ayo Edebiri

A24 has released the trailer for its upcoming horror thriller Opus, which stars John Malkovich as a reclusive pop star with a nefarious agenda. It looks like the kind of film that is going to take audiences on an intense, edge-of-your-seat ride.

The star follows a young writer played by The Bear’s Ayo Edebiriwho is invited by Malkovich to his remote compound. There she finds herself surrounded by his cult of diehard fans, and finds her herself increasingly panicked as a twisted plan unfolds around her.

The film was directed by Mark Anthony Green, who is making his feature directorial debut, and the cast also include Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder and Tony Hale.

The rest of the cast includes Tatanka Means, Young Mazino, Tamera Tomakili and Stephanie Suganami.

The movie is set to world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, it will be released in theaters on March 14th.
