Jonathan Majors Decends Into Darkness in First Trailer For MAGAZINE DREAMS

by · GeekTyrant

The first trailer has been released for Jonathan Majors’ film Magazine Dreams. Not long after this movie preimiered at the Sundance Film Festival two years, Majors’ career crash and burned after he was hit with assault charges.

The film was picked up by Searchlight Pictures for a lot of money, and then they ended up shelving the film, eventually dropping it. However, it was picked up by Briarcliff Entertainment who will release it on March 21st.

This movie would’ve taken Majors’ career to a whole new level as it easily is the best performance that he’s given. Whatever could’ve been for the actor is gone now, though.

Here’s the synopsis: “Killian Maddox is consumed by his dream of becoming a world famous bodybuilder and one day gracing the cover of fitness magazines.

“He lives a lonely, regimented life, and his relentless drive for perfection only pushes him deeper towards self-destruction, but beneath his tenacious pursuit of superstardom lies a desperate, aching need for human connection.

“As he battles both the limits of his physical body and his own inner demons, MAGAZINE DREAMS explores the lengths one man will go in his haunting quest for recognition in a world that often overlooks him.”

As I said in my review: “This is an extremely heavy movie and while it’s a very well-made film, it’s hard to watch. This man is going through such a hard journey and things aren’t easy for him with the life he’s been dealt.”

Majors “completely disappears into this role, and I was in awe of what he brought to this character in the movie. He delivered such an intense amount of energy and it was scary at times, and that was mixed with moments of charm and kindness.”
