ITV Coronation Street Yasmeen's exit 'unveiled' as star 'quits' soap after 11 years

Coronation Street enthusiasts are speculating about the departure of Yasmeen Nazir from Weatherfield, as the character is poised to make her final exit. Shelley King, who has portrayed the beloved Yasmeen for an impressive 11 years, is said to have bid farewell to the ITV soap.

At 69, Shelley first appeared on the cobbles in 2014 and is now preparing to bow out very soon. It's understood that she has completed her filming duties as Yasmeen, with her last appearances expected to air in March.

As avid viewers will recall, Yasmeen's partner Stu Carpenter (portrayed by Bill Fellows) also left the Cobbles in October to embark on a new chapter elsewhere.

Stu's granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (played by Savannah Kunyo) and her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt) had proposed securing Stu a job in Germany, which would mean leaving behind Speed Daal, their local eatery, as well as Yasmeen.

Before his departure, Stu and Yasmeen acknowledged that their feelings had changed and mutually decided to part ways, reports Lancs Live.

The duo shared a parting drink at the Rovers Return, where Stu expressed his gratitude to Yasmeen for everything she had done for him over the years.

However, with Yasmeen's impending exit from Weatherfield, some Corrie fans believe she might join Stu in Germany, reigniting their romance.

A fan took to X, speculating: "Sad to see Yasmeen is leaving here's hoping she goes to be with Stu! #corrie."

A second remarked: "Probably going to stay with Stu. Empty restaurant now as well! ", and a third contributed with their thoughts, saying: "Off to join Stu I imagine."

However, not all are in agreement about Yasmeen's next move to Germany, with another adding: "I will say this. If #corrie's answer to how to write Yasmeen out is to have her go join Stu in Germany, I will be disappointed. On the whole, he seemed to make her pretty miserable."
