Country music star Brooks is one of the biggest selling artists of all time and is the first headline act to be confirmed for the festival.
BST Hyde Park started in 2013 and sees a host of artists perform over a three week period.
This year, Olivia Rodgrido, Zach Bryan, Sabrina Carpenter, Neil Young, and Stevie Wonder were among the headline acts.
Brooks will headline next year’s festival on Saturday, 27 June, with other headliners and supporting line-ups to be announced later.

Jim King, CEO of the festival’s operators AEG Presents UK and European Festivals, remarked that announcing Brooks as a BST Hyde Park headliner “is a landmark moment”.
“A true global icon, Garth’s songs have connected with audiences everywhere, and his influence has paved the way for many of the country stars we celebrate today,” said King.
“His first UK performance in nearly three decades promises to be an unforgettable occasion at Hyde Park.”
In 2022, Brooks played five gigs across ten nights at Dublin’s Croke Park.
It came after a previous attempt to play five dates at Croke Park was scuppered in 2014.
Dublin City Council had refused to grant a licence for two of the five concerts in 2014 and Brooks then released a statement saying that for him, it was “five shows or none at all”.
In the end, it was “none at all” and fans would have to wait eight years to see Brooks in Croke Park.
