Paizo has announced Starfinder Afterlight, a CRPG based on the company’s sci-fi and fantasy tabletop RPG. Paizo has chosen EpicTellers Entertainment to develop the game, and there will be a Kickstarter for Starfinder Afterlight too, though it has not launched yet so the funding goal is an unknown. There is a teaser trailer, though that does not show much either.

EpicTellers Entertainment looks like a brand new studio that is based in Spain, with a team that has a passion for CPRGs. In the announcement post for Starfinder Afterlight, the studio said, “The Epictellers team is super-proud to announce its partnership with Paizo to bring the very first party-based RPG videogame in the beloved Starfinder universe! In Starfinder: Afterlight, you will assemble a crew of misfits from across the Pact Worlds and become the legends in this single player party-based RPG: find unique companions scattered across the stars, each with their personal stories and dilemmas.

There are no wrong answers: experience a story-driven game where choices matter and nothing is forbidden – everything has consequences. Factions remember your deeds and companions judge your heart in a game with branching storylines which ensure no two adventures are alike. Are you already a Starfinder TTRPG veteran? Experience the full depth of Starfinder 2 Edition combat in Starfinder: Afterlight! Engage in turn-based battles with different classes while leveling up and collecting alien gear.”

According to the press release, Starfinder Afterlight will have between 40 to 60 hours of gameplay, with multiple difficulty settings available for those who want everything from experiencing the story to challenging combat. There will be a full voice cast and Eduardo de la Iglesia is composing the soundtrack. Starfinder Afterlight will also support mods. There is currently no release window for the game, and it is currently only confirmed for PC via Steam.
