Warcraft III Reforged just got a brand new DLC campaign – Forsaken Kingdom
by Stefan L · tsaBlizzard just released an expansion pack for a 20-year-old game. Warcraft III: Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom is out now, providing a brand new playable campaign that bridges the story between the last game in the RTS series and the MMORPG World of Warcraft which consumed the franchise for the past two decades.
The expansion will tell the story of the Last Days of Lordaeron, venturing down into The Undercity.
Forsaken Kingdom comes alongside the Definitive Edition update for Warcraft III: Reforged, bringing performance improvements and a graphical overhaul to the game for free.
Warcraft III: Reforged originally released in 2020, and immediately got the stink eye from fans of the game, witch technical issues and half measures throughout the remastering effort. It took until 2024 for Blizzard to seriously revamp the game’s visuals again, improving the classic assets to let you pick and choose, and adding various quality of life improvements. Another visual revamp two years later is surprising, but shows that there’s still love for this game within the halls of Blizzard’s studios.
