The PS Plus Monthly Games for October 2026 include EDF: World Brother 2

The PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2026 have been revealed, throwing us back to the years 2025, 1896, and that time that pixellated aliens invaded the earth.

What are the PS Plus October 2026 Monthly Games?

There’s three games for October, with one of them still being available for PS4. Here’s the links to the PlayStation Store.

F1 25 is still the current Formula 1 game from Codemasters, since they went with a big DLC pack for the 2026 season instead of a new game. You won’t have that DLC included here, but F1 25 is still a good all-round racing game. Dom said, “F1 25 is a clear improvement over last year’s entry, with improved handling, the returning Braking Point story mode and more all coming together to create an excellent F1 racing experience.”

Earth Defense Force World Brothers 2 gets a bit more kid friendly than the main series, with its chunk voxel art style. Jason said that “It’s innately silly, and the cutesy art style brings with it a substantially lower difficulty as well. It makes for a good game for younger gamers, and that’s clear to see throughout. It’s why the controls are so simple, and the combat is so forgiving, and I don’t begrudge that, even though I like just a touch or two of complexity.”

Finally, the updated extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896 didn’t quite do it for Gamoc. He says that while he loves the idea, “In practise it’s mostly abandoned by people either sprinting all the time or camping all the time. […] If you’re a glutton for punishment this could be the extraction shooter for you, but it’s hard to recommend to anyone that isn’t already embedded in it.”

Still, worth a punt as a freebie, right?

Can you still get the September 2026 PS Plus Monthly Games?

Yup! There’s still time until 5th October to grab Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes for your game library.
