Fire breaks out on Dhanush’s ‘Idli Kadai’ sets; no casualties reported

by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduA fire broke out on the sets of Dhanush’s upcoming film Idli Kadai in Anuppapatti village, Theni, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday (April 19). Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
According to ANI, the team had completed a schedule at the Anuppapatti set before the fire broke out. Visuals show the damaged set designed to replicate a street of houses and shops.
Reports further state that the crew had left the set intact and moved to a different location to shoot, with plans to return to the set later. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
Idli Kadai, the fourth directorial of actor Dhanush, is slated to hit the screens on October 1, 2025.
The film stars Nithya Menen and Arun Vijay in prominent roles. Nithya Menen is reuniting with Dhanush after their hit movie Thiruchitrambalam (2022).
With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film has cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing by Prasanna GK. The film is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films in association with Aakash Baskaran’s Dawn Pictures.
