Kerala State School Arts Festival diary

The success of the State School Arts Festival owes in large part to the dedicated sanitation workers who kept the 25 venues spotless, despite the large number of visitors. Teams of workers were assigned to each venue daily throughout the event. Keerthi and Lathika, two Haritha Karma Sena workers, made the most of the five days, enjoying memorable performances at St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School. They worked late into the evening, often until 10:30 p.m., without any complaints. The green warriors were also pleased to see a significant decrease in the amount of plastic waste this year.

At every venue, you could see somebody in the audience keeping track of the festival through the mobile app Ulsav developed by KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education). It helped one to follow the festival easily. You could get all the information about the programmes and venues as well as the status of each event. You could also get the results as well as watch live streaming of some events.
