‘Dominic and The Ladies Purse’ trailer: Mammootty-Gautham Menon movie hints at an off-beat thriller with enough laughs

‘Dominic and The Ladies Purse’, starring Mammootty, marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon

The makers of Dominic and The Ladies Purse have released the film’s trailer. The Malayalam movie, starring Mammootty, is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film is veteran Tamil filmmaker Gautham’s debut in Malayalam.

The trailer hints at an off-beat thriller with enough laughs and action sequences. Mammootty essays the role of a detective who runs the Dominic Detective Agency. Known for his “great observation and concentration”, Dominic is boastful of his ability to solve cases.

A missing purse results in Dominic going after a complex case, which involves finding a killer. The film is set to hit the screens on January 23, 2025. Mammootty has produced the film under the banner Mammootty Kampany.

Neeraj Rajan has written the story of Dominic and The Ladies Purse. Gautham, Neeraj and Dr Sooraj Rajan have written the screenplay for the movie.

Vishnu Dev has handled the cinematography for the movie while Darbuka Siva is the music composer. Gautham’s long-time collaborator Antony has done the editing. Dominic and The Ladies Purse also stars Gokul Suresh, Sushmita Bhat, Vijit Venkatesh, Vineeth and Vijay Babu.
