Molly-Mae Hague says she 'amost gave up' as she shared how she's still trying to keep a family tradition going strong on her daughter's birthday.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday morning (January 23), the influencer's ex Tommy Fury shared a snap of him completing an early morning 6.5k run before what he described as a 'big day'. Soon after, he shared his disbelief that he and Molly-Mae were marking their daughter's second birthday.

Alongside a picture of him holding Bambi in the hospital after she was born, the 25-year-old wrote: "How has time gone that fast!!! From this... [crying emoji and single tear emoji]," before following-up the picture with a look at the beautiful set-up for his little girl at the home he previously shared with her and Molly-Mae, also 25.

The parents had gone for a Tiger That Came to Tea theme for Bambi's second birthday with Tommy describing it as her 'favourite story'. Alongside a picture of a little tea party set up with a cardboard tiger, a banner which reads 'Bambi is two' alongside a number of balloons and stacks of presents, Tommy said: "To this, Bambi's 2nd birthday."

Now, Molly-Mae has given a fresh glimpse into their efforts to mark Bambi's birthday. She shared pictures of Bambi checking out her tea part set-up with her millions of followers and said: "Bambi's 2nd birthday!!!! [crying emoji]."

Alongside a close-up snap of Bambi exploring what her parents had arranged for her, the former Love Island star said: "'The tiger who came TWO tea'... Her favourite book ever!"

Molly-Mae then revealed how Bambi's morning was spent at baby ballet before she showed her cake-making efforts. Loyal followers of the mum-of-one will recall that she handmade her little girl's first birthday cake last year using a recipe book re-sourced after her mum used it as a child.

After sharing a look at last year's candy house-inspired masterpiece, she shared Bambi's second birthday cake was a horse stable with three multi-coloured horses poking out. "THIS YEAR [crying laughing emojis]. I nearly gave up but after two days I got it done [crying laughing emoji]. Keeping the birthday cake tradition going!!!!"

Molly-Mae said last year about the birthday cake-making: "I was saying on my YouTube that my mum used to make us a special birthday cake every single year from this cake book she had. We've re-purchased the cake book (after a lot of hunting on the internet because this book is SO old) and I'm going to carry on the tradition for Bambi."
