BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Lauren Oakley a 'new girl' as she's flooded with messages over dancing update 

Lauren Oakley said she felt like a 'new girl' as she had a small makeover ahead of hitting the road with her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars.

The professional dancer is currently on home turf in Birmingham where rehearsals are taking place for the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour. Lauren will be performing to fans up and down the country alongside JB Gill after the pair made the final of the BBC One dance contest last year.

As fans know, Lauren took over as JB's pro dance partner after Amy Dowden became injured amidst the shows Halloween special. Lauren helped guide JB to the final where they performed their hearts out for the chance of lifting the Glitterball trophy, with the series eventually won by Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.

Now, they'll make Strictly Live history by being the first trio to take part. Ahead of hitting the road and the tour starting on Friday (January 17) at the Utilita Arena, Lauren took to Instagram with a video in which she was seen getting a freshen-up of her trademark locks.

Alongside the video of getting her pixie cut chopped back in, she told her fans and followers: "My pixie girlies know when that cut is overdue! I've come out a new girl! With thanks to @feltcherhair."

It comes after fans rushed to respond to her update on the impending Strictly tour. Lauren took to Instagram with a photo from Strictly's 2024 series in which she could be seen partnering fellow pro Kai Widdrington as the dancers performed to singing sensation RAYE.

Captioning the post she wrote: "Can’t wait to be back dancing with my @bbcstrictly fam & of course seeing all of you guys!! @strictlycomedancinglive. Let’s get the show on the road! See you all soon."
