Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower flooded with support after cryptic post
by Samantha King · Manchester Evening News*Warning: Contains major spoilers for the finale of Stranger Things Season 5*
A leading actor from Netflix's Stranger Things has received an outpouring of support from the show's fans after sharing a mysterious message online in the wake of Season 5's grand finale.
The concluding series marked the end of the much-loved sci-fi programme that has graced our screens for nearly ten years. The emotional two-hour final episode saw Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) being killed and dramatically decapitated by Joyce (Winona Ryder), while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) seemed to make the ultimate sacrifice, choosing to stay in the Upside Down as it was obliterated.
In a time leap, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Max (Sadie Sink) engaged in their last Dungeons and Dragons game together post-graduation, with Mike envisioning what the future might hold for each of them.

He also shared his own hypothesis that Eleven didn't truly die in the portal to the Upside Down, but rather escaped and was living tranquilly in a secluded town with three waterfalls, finally leading a normal life. Whether his theory holds true is intentionally left ambiguous, allowing viewers to decide their own ending, reports the Mirror.
However, in a previous scene, Mike is shown grieving over El and confessing that his long-standing promise to take her to a distant place with three waterfalls was far-fetched and unrealistic during an earlier chat with Hopper (David Harbour). This suggests his narrative could merely be a coping strategy to handle the profound loss.
After the series wrapped up, Jamie Campbell Bower, who portrayed Vecna alongside his alternate personas Henry Creel and Mr Whatsit, shared a brief six-word message stating: "It's been a pleasure to serve x."
Admirers wasted no time flooding the comments section to applaud the actor's work on the programme, with numerous predictions of Emmys and Oscars coming his way.

"You sir were the highlight of the entire show, Oscar winner level acting. Golden globe pending," one enthusiastic viewer wrote, whilst another commented: "The best performance I've seen in a long time! Great job!"
A third fan, making reference to Jamie's earlier appearance in the 2007 musical Sweeney Todd, remarked: "I'm glad you have a new audience through this show. been here since Sweeney Todd."
Meanwhile, a fourth viewer wrote: "You and Sadie were the best performers by far. Thoroughly enjoyed your performance. Thank you," whilst a fifth simply declared: "God tier performance."
