Ariana Grande has gifted Christmas presents to poorly children spending the festive period in hospitals across Greater Manchester.

The global superstar, who was previously made an honorary citizen of Manchester following the arena terror attack at her concert in May 2017, donated the gifts which were given to youngsters at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Trafford General, Wythenshawe Hospital, and North Manchester General.

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust charity revealed on Monday (December 23) that the singer-actress had donated gifts to the children across the region's hospitals for Christmas and thanked the star, 31.

The charity's social media post featured photos of children in the hospital holding the wrapped gifts, alongside staff who helped give them out to the children.

The MFT charity posted on Instagram: "Thank you @arianagrande! We are so grateful to Ariana for thinking of our young patients this Christmas.

"The gifts she has donated are being distributed to babies, children and teenagers across Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. @mftnhs."

It isn't the first time the star has sent presents to children in Manchester hospitals. The pop star has had a long-standing relationship with the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in particular since the Manchester Arena attack in 2017.

In 2022, gifts were given out on children's wards and new born intensive care units at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital following a donation from Grande.
