BBC Strictly Come Dancing's JB Gill 'honoured' as he lands new gig amid ballroom success
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsJB Gill has said he's 'honoured' as he revealed that he's lined up another job amid his continuing success in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.
The JLS star is currently busy training for his next performance after making it through to week nine of the BBC One dance contest. JB has faced some change in recent weeks after his professional dance partner Amy Dowden had to pull out of the competition.
The Welsh dancer made a triumphant return to the ballroom back in September after being forced to miss out on competing in the 2023 series due to undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

She was paired with JB for the new series and they were going from strength to strength. But after missing a week of rehearsals and a live show, where Lauren stepped in, earlier this month, it was confirmed that Amy wouldn't be able to return to the competition as she recovers from a foot injury.
It was also confirmed at the time that JB would carry on the remainder of his time on the hit dance show with Lauren. and during latest live show on Saturday night (November 9) saw JB and Lauren finish joint topped the judges’ leader board for a second week in a row alongside Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec, with a samba that "stunned" the judges.
It's since been confirmed they'll be heading to Blackpool as Strictly relocates to the seaside town for its annual special, which will once again be broadcast life from the iconic Tower Ballroom, and that they'll perform a Quickstep to Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley.

But while he hopes to get all the way to the end of Strictly's 2024 series, which is also its 20th-anniversary series, it has been revealed that JB won't be just on the small screen dancing to millions but also entertaining people in the coming weeks over the airwaves - and not just with his JLS tracks.
Hits Radio has announced that he will be covering The Hits UK Chart show from this Sunday (November 17th). Whilst regular host Sam Thompson is back Down Under for this year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here's new spin-off show, JB will be sitting in the hot seat and bringing the nation the forty biggest tracks of the week.
While the singer - and farmer - is no stranger to the charts, but this will be the first time that he’s been counting them down rather than listening out for his own chart position.
JB said: "What an honour to be covering for my mate Sam whilst he’s in Australia for I’m a Celeb… I have listened to the charts ever since I was a little kid and I’m going to get such a kick out of hosting the show and revealing that all-important number one to listeners. Hope you can all join me from this Sunday to countdown the UK’s biggest hits!"
