Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti's five-word response as he's grilled on villa return
by Olivia Wheeler · Manchester Evening NewsDavide Sanclimenti offered a five-word response when quizzed about a potential return to Love Island.
The 30-year-old shot to fame after winning the ITV2 dating show in 2022, alongside his then-partner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Ekin-Su recently made a comeback to the Love Island villa, joining the All Stars spin-off as a bombshell and pairing up with Curtis Pritchard. This sparked speculation among fans that Davide might follow suit.
However, Davide's recent Instagram post, featuring himself at a snowy cabin retreat, included the caption: "At peace in my happy place #cabinlife". One fan urged him to "get back to the villa" in the comments, prompting Davide to respond with a five-word comment: "I'm happy in the cabin!" accompanied by shrugging emojis.

Another fan expressed support for Davide's decision, saying: "Great choice choosing peace over drama no genuine entertainment without ya x". The former Islander acknowledged this sentiment by liking the comment, reports Wales Online.
Meanwhile, Ekin-Su shared her reasons for returning to Love Island, saying: "I want to return to Love Island again because it’s where my journey started and has a special place in my heart. It’s somewhere I’ve laughed, cried and learnt so much.
"The fact that there's an opportunity to do it again - why not! Why can’t a winner go back in and re-write her story and have a second chance?! I think you should follow your gut and my gut is telling me to go back, so I’m listening to it."

Talking about her ideal love interest, she added: "I’m looking for someone who isn’t overly self-obsessed and someone that’s aware of flaws, because we all have them. I’d like a man that will love me when I’m in the worst mood possible but still understands why and has no judgments. I’d like someone supportive, I don’t care about looks and money - I want someone to be my biggest cheerleader."
Speaking about what she's learnt since leaving Love Island in 2022, Ekin-Su admitted: "I’ve learnt to take accountability when the time is right, and I’ve learnt to stand up for myself and have boundaries with guys and with friends. I’ve also learnt that it's ok to be vulnerable with men - I always thought I had to be strong, but I’m allowed to cry sometimes and it’s not all about being strong."
Love Island: All Stars continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
