BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland supported as he fights tears with Dianne Buswell
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsChris McCausland has been flooded with messages from fans after he was seen fighting tears while talking to Dianne Buswell about their Strictly Come Dancing experience together.
It comes after there were even more emotional scenes back in December when the comedian and his professional dance partner were confirmed as the winners of the BBC One dance contest's 2024 series.
Just months before, the pair didn't know each other before they were paired together for Strictly's 20th anniversary series back in September. Another 13 weeks later and Chris, who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant, and Dianne were left in tears as they lifted the Glitterball trophy.
Now, weeks after their emotional win, comedian Chris and pro dancer have reunited for a new podcast, which they have titled after their Strictly team name, Winning Isn't Everything, which was based on Dianne's dad Mark's comments to his daughter when she discovered her partner for her eighth year on the show.
The podcast is also showing to be a success with them rising up various different podcast charts on different platforms. A clip posted to their dedicated Instagram page has now revealed a clip in which Chris and Dianne discuss how it felt to win Strictly.
Chris is heard saying: "This was so far out of my comfort zone. It was so terrifying. It was so unknown and what we did and how we were able to to make it work and the relationship that we had, the partnership that we had and the emotion that it brought out of people and what it brought out of me, I didn't expect it. It blew my mind."

"It makes me emotional now thinking about it," Chris added as the tears started to fill his eyes. "It was incredible. I don't think I'll ever top it, you know and I don't think I need to. I think that's fine. I don't think I need to top it. I'll never be part of anything like that again where people can get on board with it as it's happening and it connects with that amount of people in the moment."
Responding to the post of the clip, Chris wrote: "Thanks for listening guys. It is such a joy to be back together again!" and it didn't take their fans to respond with messages or praise.
