Sniper Elite: Resistance release date and time – here's exactly when you can play in your region

Hunting Nazis is always fun, but the Sniper Elite series' X-ray system adds a deliciously gruesome layer that players love, and after three years, it's time for another helping.

The Sniper Elite: Resistance release is almost here, dropping on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles this week; and what's more, if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, the game is a day one release on the subscription service for both PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. If you're on the Standard or Core tiers, you'll need to either switch up your membership, or pay for the game outright.

And it's also good news for those of you still clinging onto your last-gen consoles, because the Sniper Elite: Resistance release is coming to PS4 and Xbox One as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There's also going to be PS5 Pro enhancements on Sony's console to look forward to, although at the time of writing, Rebellion Developments hasn't shared what those are. Just know that the money you spent on the console will maybe possibly be worth it, with the Sniper Elite: Resistance release that straddles last and current-gen consoles. Usually the older hardware hampers games so I'd be interested to see what Rebellion has managed to pull off.

Of course, if you pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition on Steam, Xbox or PlayStation, then access starts two days early, kicking off on Tuesday, January 28. Other bonuses in this edition that you don't get with the standard edition include the M1911 pistol and Season Pass. The Sniper Elite: Resistance release time is based on the PlayStation Store which has the release time listed on the game's store page. For those wondering, there is crossplay if you want to stray from the campaign, so you can play with friends on other platforms. Unfortunately, there's no cross-progression so if you desperately want to switch the platform you're playing the game on, you'll need to start over.
