by Danny Gutmann · The MirrorFormer Hollyoaks star Paul Danan tragically passed away earlier today aged 46.
In a podcast appearance last year, he revealed a bizarre conversation with George Michael at a star studded party in 1998.
Chatting on The Dozen with Liam Tuffs podcast, Paul looked back on his younger days as he went back to 1998 when he attended the prestigious MTV Awards hosted in Milan.
Travelling to the gold soaked home of Donatella Versace with his friend and MTV award winning act the Prodigy, who had successfully picked up four awards on the night, he recalled a chance conversation with none other than George Michael.
Meeting the Wham! star for the first time, Paul fondly reminisced as he remembered what the singer told him: "Me and Kenny (Kenny Goss, George's ex-boyfriend) we love you, we watch you every Sunday. I just wanted to say that we love your character (on Hollyoaks).'
Simply replying 'thanks so much' Paul explained how he could hardly believe some of the stars that were in attendance as he rattled off names including; Lenny Kravitz, the Spice Girls.
Appearing in a whole host of TV shows down the years, Paul was probably best known for his role playing Sol Patrick in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks between 1997 and 2001. Besides his acting roles, Paul also featured prominently in reality TV shows during the early 2000s, including Celebrity Big Brother and ITV's Celebrity Love Island in 2005.
