Danny Jones' wife Georgia inundated with support as she breaks social media silence

Danny Jones' wife, Georgia, has been flooded with support after breaking her silence following the scandal surrounding her husband and Maura Higgins.

The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars shocked fans when they appeared to share a drunken kiss at the BRIT Awards on March 2.

Neither Danny or Maura - who is currently in L.A on an "exciting shoot" - have commented on the kiss. However, Georgia, who shares son, Cooper, with Danny has taken to social media to share a sweet black and white picture of the couple's seven year old.

The former Miss England simply captioned the photo with a blue heart and was soon inundated with messages of support. One fan wrote: "Love you. What a lucky boy he is to have a mummy like you xxxxxx." Another added: "Hope you're okay Georgia, you've got this xxx." A third said: "Everyone is in your corner you've got this much love" while a fourth pledged: "We're all rallied around you."

In the wake of the reports of Danny's drunken kiss with Maura, the McFly star has remained quiet, while the former ring girl from Ireland has fled the country.

Danny has been warned about staying silent for too long in the wake of the scandal, with a PR expert telling the Mirror he should also avoid a 'prosaic apology on Instagram'. Edward Coram-James, CEO of Go Up, told us: “Danny needs to speak sooner rather than later. Silence will only fuel the fire and make him look evasive – worse – calculated."

He added: “Under no circumstances should he use the dreaded notes app/Instagram apology - so overdone and formulaic at this point that it's a tired cliché and also so easy to hide behind, especially with comments turned off.

“The authenticity needs to come across in a more meaningful way, perhaps through a well-thought-out, personal statement – possibly an interview or video where he speaks directly to the camera.”

Maura, meanwhile, is said to be “in a bad way...and really struggling” according to pals who have rallied behind her in the wake of her drunken kiss with Danny.

The reality star has flown to Los Angeles for a photoshoot amid the furore of her boozy clinch with the married singer. Friends of Maura say that the last week has been “horrendous” as she has been deluged with “horrific” trolling on her social media.

Speaking to the Mirror, her pal said: “Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down.”
