Inside India Reynolds split with Ovie as model returns to Love Island All Stars

India Reynolds coupled up with professional basketball player, Ovie Soko, on the fifth series of Love Island, but the pair called it quits just four months after leaving the villa

Love Island fans had high hopes for India Reynolds and Ovie Soko when they got together on the show in 2019.

The model, 34, and professional basketball player, 33, confirmed they were exclusively dating on Love Island: The Reunion after coming third on the sexy singletons series. They then rocked up on the red carpet at the TV Choice awards hand in hand. However, just four months after leaving the villa, they called it quits, leaving their legion of loyal fans gutted.

India is now looking for love again on Love Island: All Stars and told the Mirror and other press that there is no bad blood between her and her former co-star.

Speaking about her ex, she said: "We're friends and there are no bad vibes." The model also said she would be happy if Ovie made a surprise appearance on All Stars, admitting: "It would actually be nice to see him if he did come in."

So, as she gets ready to make her debut on the show tonight - in which the public will decide who will be coupled up - here's a look inside India's split with Ovie - when she was still a Love Island newbie...

'Conflicting schedules'

At the TV Choice Awards in September 2019, Ovie and India stepped out hand in hand, revealing to the world that they were “official.” However, they failed to make their journey on Love Island translate into a real relationship off camera.

Once they left the villa, the couple called it quits after just four months, with India citing outside pressures and conflicting schedules as the reason why.

Opening up about the split to Mirror UK at an appearance at the Pride Britain Awards, she said, “Obviously, it’s difficult, but any break-up is difficult. It’s even more difficult when it’s in front of the rest of the world, but I’ll be fine.”

Maya Jama cheating rumours

During their relationship off camera, Ovie and India also had to face a swathe of controversies and rumours. From the pressures of maintaining a public relationship to cheating allegations, there was a tumultuous terrain to navigate.

Ovie was accused of snogging Maya Jama in a club in London, but he denied the allegations and said that he had never even met the now Love Island host.

India accused of cheating with Arsenal star

India was also accused of cheating. Rumours suggested the model had locked lips with Kieran Gibbs, a player for Arsenal, but these reports were squashed by the model.

Denying anything untoward had happened with the footballer, India told the Daily Mail, “I’ve known Kieran and his brother for years and it was their 30th birthday so I was there with loads of friends and family. There’s nothing about it! It got blown into a ridiculous thing.”
