What Danny Jones' wife Georgia's friends have said to her after marriage blow
McFly singer Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley has been flooded with support from her celebrity friends following his kiss scandal with Maura Higgins
by Mia O'Hare · The MirrorGeorgia Horsley has received the support of her celebrity pals as she's been swept up in her husband Danny Jones' kissing scandal.
The former model, 38, suffered a huge blow when videos emerged of her McFly singer husband kissing Love Island star Maura Higgins over a week ago. She had kept her head down amid the furore as Danny appears adamant to remain silent. Georgia has publicly supported Danny throughout his career, having wed in 2014.
She even moved homes solo last year when he jetted off to Australia for I'm A Celebrity, and was there to greet him in an emotional reunion with their son Cooper, seven. At the start of the year, things became too much for Georgia and she booked herself into a solo holiday to recuperate. However, last month, Georgia's world was rocked when the video of her husband emerged.
On Tuesday, she broke her social media silence by sharing a black and white photo of her son. It came just days after she pulled out of a scheduled public appearance at London's ExCel as part of her Mums the Word podcast work with Kelsey Parker. Georgia made her return to social media hours before being spotted on a walk with Danny in their first public outing since the scandal.
She was flooded with support from her friends on social media as they rushed to send messages to her. Sarah Louise Merrygold, wife of JLS star Aston Merrygold wrote: "Little dude. Sending you all my love." Made In Chelsea’s Binky Felstead said: "We got you girl! Adore you." Novelist Anna Whitehouse shared: "Love you darling. We’ve got you."
Fans also shared their support as one wrote: "Love you. What a lucky boy he is to have a mummy like you xxxxxx." Another added: "Hope you're okay Georgia, you've got this xxx." A third said: "Everyone is in your corner you've got this much love" while a fourth pledged: "We're all rallied around you." Georgia has since turned off comments on the post.
Despite their portrayal of a united front while going for a stroll in their local park, Georgia appeared to make a defiant stance as the pair shared a statement on their marriage. She kept her left hand firmly in her pocket while out with Danny as she refused to show her wedding ring finger.
A source from Danny's camp explained to the Mirror he has concerns that his long career could be coming to an end. They said: "Earlier today, Georgia broke her silence by posting a picture of Cooper, their son. But I don’t think we can get too excited. We need to remember that in the past 2 weeks, 2 videos have emerged online of Danny and Maura spending the night of the BRITs together.
"Georgia is likely trying to resume some normality because she has other engagements that she has to fulfil. Danny has been too silent and I believe this is because he’s expecting it to pass and he can resume his career like normal. Danny has been more concerned to family and friends that his career is coming to an end, when he should be caring about his marriage to his wife and his son. It’s time for Danny to explain to his fans and audience what has happened and to own his mistakes."
The couple are looking to 'put things behind them' as they stepped out for a stroll while 'moving on with their lives'. An insider told the Mirror: "It really hasn’t been a good time at all but they are very much together." Last week, a source told us Danny's behaviour has been a "slap in the face" for wife Georgia, 38, as they underwent crisis talks.
