Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley 'lined up for Celebrity Big Brother' after Maura kiss

Georgia Horsley is reportedly being targeted by Celebrity Big Brother in the hopes she'll address husband Danny Jones' kiss with Maura Higgins live on air

Danny Jones’ wife Georgia Horsley is reportedly in talks to join a major reality TV show following her recent family crisis.

McFly singer Danny - who has been married to Georgia since 2014 - was spotted seeming to kiss Love Island star Maura Higgins after the Brit Awards on March 1, and neither Georgia nor the canoodling duo have spoken out about what went down.

Now, however, Celebrity Big Brother is said to be keen to get Georgia on the show, where she might be able to open up about how she’s feeling and what’s next for her marriage. The show is set to air on ITV1 on April 7, meaning they’d have to nail the former Miss England down soon.

Insiders said that the team behind Celebrity Big Brother knew that getting Georgia on the show would make it “must-watch TV,” and know that an inside opinion of the drama would draw viewers in. “There’s no doubt that Danny and Maura would be watching through cracks between their fingers if Georgia gave a warts-and-all account of her reaction on the night and afterwards,” they told The Sun.

However, the source noted that a deal hasn’t been agreed yet and “producers are cutting it fine” considering the very close starting date. The Mirror has contacted Georgia’s rep for comment, while a spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother previously told the Mirror: "Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation."

While Georgia’s place on the show isn’t yet clear, many other names have also been rumoured to be joining the house next month. Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd and Love Island star Chris Hughes are both rumoured to be on the roster, alongside EastEnders actor James Bye, professional boxer and Molly-Mae Hague's ex Tommy Fury, and Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson.

Producers are reportedly hoping that Georgia will talk about the video of Danny and Maura at Universal Music's Brits afterparty. An insider claimed that shortly before 3am in the morning, Danny and Maura walked into the foyer of the venue together, where Maura was captured appearing to give him a couple of pecks before he leaned down to kiss her on the mouth. A source claimed that they "seemed to be having a great time" together, and described the kiss as a "brief, drunken moment."

Another onlooker suggested that their time together didn’t stop there, saying: "Danny and Maura seemed to be enjoying their night of partying. They were knocking back wine at the Nobu from 4am and seemed keen to carry on. They weren't seen leaving before 6am."

Georgia and Danny have a son, seven-year-old Cooper, and she’s said to be focusing on the young boy while the drama unravels. "She loves Danny, but she is hurt. Georgia’s priority is, and will always be, her boy Cooper. She wants to protect him from all this madness," a source said after the video was released. They added that although Georgia is “more forgiving than most,” the kiss “might be one step too far” for her to brush under the carpet.
