I'm A Celeb South Africa LIVE: Sinitta tells camp about 'dreamy' Brad Pitt romance

I'm A Celebrity South Africa continues for its second episode as Gemma Collins returns and Sinitta opens up to the camp about a 'dreamy' relationship

by · The Mirror

The second series of I'm A Celebrity's South Africa spin-off continues, as iconic stars return. Gemma Collins is back after quitting just 72 hours in on her prior stint, while Sinitta opens up to the camp about her relationship with Brad Pitt.

The TOWIE star and Craig Charles are both entering the show as late arrivals for a retch-worthy eating challenge. They are joining Ashley Roberts, David Haye, Scarlett Moffatt and Mo Farah in the main camp, while Beverley Callard, Adam Thomas and Seann Walsh are figuring out how to survive in the Savannah Scrub, a second camp with basic rations and a bucket instead of a shower.

The show started on 6 April and will continue until 24 April, when a live final will take place. The public will get to choose who wins in a live episode, while the first series saw Myleene Klass crowned as the champion, and show Legend.

What is Savannah Scrub?

Savannah Scrub is another camp that some of the celebs will be living in for a bit. While most will be in the main camp, a few will have to stick it out in the secondary, much more basic camp.

Few would call the I'm A Celeb main camp a luxury, but it certainly seems so compared to Savannah Scrub. There's nothing on the menu except rice and beans, and no shower. Instead, there is just a bucket.

The current Scrub campmates are Adam Thomas, Beverley Callard and Seann Walsh.

A preview for tonight's episode sees Sinitta talking about her famous ex boyfriends. In Main Camp, conversation turns to Sinitta’s former flame Brad Pitt. “Did you, like, kiss and that?” Scarlett asks cheekily while the group all listen giddily.

Reflecting on the relationship in the Bush Telegraph, Sinitta confesses: “Even I do think, wow, it was nice while it lasted.”

When Scarlett asks if the memories still exist in her head, Sinitta confirms: “All I have to do is close my eyes and there he is.”

Craig Charles' real reason for doing I'm A Celeb

Craig Charles has admitted returning to compete in I’m A Celebrity means more to him than most contestants - as he wants to make his late brother proud of him.

The former Coronation Street star and radio DJ was forced to leave the Australian jungle early in 2014 after just four days, when he was told his brother Dean had passed away. The pair had not spoken for several years due to a family dispute, making the death even tougher to take for Craig.

The 61-year-old said: “The death of my brother, Dean, changed my life the last time I was on I’m A Celebrity. I was 50 at the time, my brother was 52, I had been in Corrie for ten years and I came in to do the jungle, then Dean passed away."

Declan Donnelly left stunned by intruder at his I'm A Celebrity South Africa lodge

Declan Donnelly, one half of the Ant & Dec presenting duo, has said they were stunned by an intruder at their lodge on I’m A Celebrity South Africa.

Anthony McPartlin, 50, said to Declan on their podcast Hanging Out with Ant & Dec: “Didn’t you have a bush baby in your room?” The bush babies Anthony was asking about are a type of nocturnal primate.

In response, Declan, 50, said: “In my lodge was a thatched roof, and I came back from work and my fruit bowl — there was an orange on the side — and it had been half peeled, and there was wee on the worktop."

Gemma Collins says she's been 'to hell and back'

Gemma, who went in as a late entry alongside Craig Charles, said: “Going on All Stars is a real moment for me in my career – it’s redemption. To be able to do this again is the greatest honour ever. I am going to be the best campmate and get those stars. None of us will be starving under my watch.”

She said: “I am dreading the whole lot, I don’t think anyone goes into the jungle going ‘woohoo’. It’s not normal to be faced with animals, but I am going in as Gemma Collins. Gemma Collins is a self-made woman. I have been to hell and back to get to where I am today. I am just looking forward to proving to people I can do it."
