A new twist has emerged after Justin Bieber, 30, unfollowed his wife on Instagram.

Fans noticed that the singer had unfollowed Hailey Bieber, 28, earlier today, sparking fresh concerns among growing rumours that they’re facing a tough time in their marriage. Clarifying the unusual social media move, Justin explained on his Instagram Stories: “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S**t is getting suss out here.”

Now, however, Justin has deleted the post and refollowed Hailey, leaving fans even more confused. On a Reddit page dedicated to Justin, some fans theorized that the social media drama was nothing more than a PR move.

“He's apparently got an album coming out so he’s doing these shenanigans for buzz. Hailey pulls this same s**t when she’s about to release something new,” one person said. Another wrote: “Unfollowing your wife and the mother of your child for promo is beyond insane.” Many pointed out that Justin and Hailey are currently on a skiing trip together in Aspen, Colorado, and said that the couple was fine, but Justin was trying to get “the people’s attention.”

People were particularly shocked by Justin’s unfollow considering he and Hailey recently welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues, having announced his birth on August 23, 2024. Hailey and Justin tied the knot in 2018, and changed their family dynamic as they welcomed Jack Blues, with Hailey reportedly having made the decision to keep her son away from her parents after their relationship deteriorated when she fell pregnant.

Considering Hailey’s choice, fans were less shocked when Justin unfollowed his father-in-law Stephen Baldwin, who he’s yet to follow back. However, reports of uncertainty in Justin and Hailey’s marriage have been around for some time.

While some fans believed Justin’s unfollowing of Hailey was a PR move, others were less sure. "What could be the reason? Does anyone have a idea," one fan begged, with another reasoning: "She still follows him sooo hopefully it was a mistake by Justin." A third wrote: "Hopefully this was a mistake cause they just had a child."

Despite the drama, the couple appeared to brush off the speculation as they rang the New Year in with loved-up posts. Responding to Hailey’s slew of snaps, Justin gushed: "Um. Going anywhere with u bb. Happy new year."

Sources also claimed that Hailey and Justin "couldn't be happier" with one another as they got to grips with parenthood for the first time, while admitting that it was a "learning experience" for the couple. Hailey herself has opened up on how happy she and Justin are despite the constant rumours that divorce is on the horizon.

"People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one," Hailey told W Magazine last year. She added: "'Oh, they're falling apart. They hate each other. They're getting divorced.' It's like people don't want to believe that we're happy." Hailey admitted she used to try to act like it didn't hurt her, and hoped that she’d get used to the hate over time. Sadly, she admitted: "But I realize that it doesn't actually ever hurt any less."
