TV star Pete Wicks shows his soft side at 'For Dogs’ Sake' screening

The TV star and animal welfare advocate is appearing in For Dogs’ Sake, which sees him partnering with Dogs Trust in his role as one of the charity’s ambassadors

TV star and animal welfare advocate is set to appear in For Dogs’ Sake, a show that sees him teaming up with Dogs Trust as one of the charity’s ambassadors. .

A special screening was held today at the Dogs Trust centre in Basildon, where Wicks treated staff to a tour down the 'red paw-pet'. .

The TV personality spent quality time with puppies Nigel, Pepper and Dory, and his former Strictly partner Jowita Pryzstal also made an appearance to show her support. .

He expressed: "Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer animals to people, so this show is a real passion project for me."

"With two rescue dogs of my own, animal welfare is close to my heart, and I am super excited to be teaming up with U&W for this amazing opportunity. "

The series will air on U&W and U, providing behind-the-scenes access to the everyday happenings of Dogs Trust and delving into the individual stories of the canines.

The docu-series follows the TV star as he works with Dogs Trust to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome vulnerable dogs. From the moment the dogs are rescued, Pete plays a crucial role in their rehabilitation process.

Viewers will see him involved in various activities, from helping to weigh newborn puppies to witnessing life-saving surgery. He’ll even be seen making the all-important ‘tea round’ for the hard-working staff and volunteers.

Pete Wicks also visits the charity’s centres in Harefield West London, Leeds and Ballymena in Northern Ireland.
