Alison Hammond's son Aidan admits they argued 'loads' while filming TV series

This Morning star Alison Hammond is set to return to TV screens with her son Aidan as the pair star in BBC Two's new travel series Florida Unpacked

Alison Hammond has given fans a sneak peek of her new TV series with son Aidan, as they co-star in the travel show Florida Unpacked. The mother-son team set off on an adventure across Florida in the fresh BBC Two series, set to premiere on 27 January.

Florida Unpacked is being touted as "escapism" for TV audiences, promising to showcase Alison and Aidan "uncovering hidden gems, soaking up sunshine, and sharing the best budget travel tips", while offering viewers a glimpse into their relationship.

Aidan, 19, confessed he "really enjoyed" collaborating with his mum for the first time, though he conceded there were a few disputes along the journey.

Ahead of the show's debut, he shared: "I really enjoyed it, especially the car rides. There was just so much laughter. But also, loads of arguments - mainly about directions! She always thought she knew where she was going, and I'd be telling her she was going the wrong way."

On the other hand, Alison revealed that working with her son for the first time allowed her to appreciate his impressive work ethic, confessing she was "surprised" at how well he coped with the experience, reports the Manchester Evening News.

"It was Aidan's first time filming, so it felt like I had a work experience apprentice with me. It was eye-opening to see how he approached it, and I realised he has the same work ethic as me - early mornings, late nights - he handled it really well! I was quite surprised, to be honest. You know how teenagers can be, but he was great! " she expressed.

The telly favourite and her son clearly have a tight-knit relationship. Alison confessed that Aidan "has the best time" accompanying her on trips, despite also travelling with his mates.

She shared: "He absolutely loves it. He's always asking, 'Can I come?'. The other day, he was saying how much fun we have together I bring the lols, I am the life and soul, and he realises that. He's been on plenty of trips with his friends, but he always says he has the best time with me."
