Wynne Evans has shared the heartbreaking news of his older brother Huw's passing, describing him as his 'hero and inspiration.' The Strictly star posted a touching tribute, including selfies with Huw, as fans and colleagues offered their condolences.

Wynne Evans, known for starring on Strictly Come Dancing, has announced the passing of his older brother, Huw. In a heartfelt tribute shared on Instagram, Evans described Huw as his "hero and inspiration."

Wynne posted a series of selfies he had taken with his older brother in the emotional tribute. His full caption read: “I’m so sad to say that my gorgeous eldest brother has passed away. My big brother was my hero and my inspiration. Huw my darling I will miss you so much and am so glad I got to have you with me all my life.”

Huw Evans was the eldest of three brothers from Carmarthen, South Wales, and worked as a barrister. Wynne's other brother, Mark, is also a singer, and the two previously co-hosted a show called "Sibling Rivalry." Reflecting on his childhood, Wynne previously shared with The Times: "I was the youngest of three boys: one brother is a barrister and the other an opera singer.

“My father, David, was a council building inspector, and my half-Belgian mother, Elizabeth, was a hairdresser before she turned campaigner to save a local theatre. We lived in an end-of-terrace Victorian house with an outside loo.I didn’t go on a plane until I was 24.”
