by Jamie Roberts · The MirrorA clip of Tommy Fury taking part in a 10k run went viral for all the wrong reasons for the star.
And now he has broke his silence on his actions as he enjoys a break away in Lake Como. The boxer, 25, was roundly mocked online after footage showed him bursting towards the finish line in a race. In his efforts to improve his finish time, the former Love Island star was seen almost knocking over an older woman in the charity run on January 4.
Speaking of the incident, Tommy joked about his efforts after taking in a 10k run in the "beautiful scenery" of Lake Como. In his Instagram upload, he jibied:"Right guys straight off the plane, straight on the road, 10k done. In this beautiful scenery, Lake Como you are beautiful. And just to warn everybody no grannies were hurt in the process at the finish line."
After he had uploaded the initial running video, fans were quick to take aim at his efforts. One user wrote: "'Almost wiped out someone's nan," while another asked: "'crying at that vid of tommy fury running whys he going so fast?" A third found it hilarious, saying: "That video of tommy fury sprinting past the senior citizens in a marathon is actually one of the funniest things I've ever seen."
His efforts come amid rumours he is reuniting with ex Molly-Mae Hague after their split in August. The duo were spotted sharing a New Year's Eve kiss at Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw's party. They are also said to have enjoyed a cosy cinema date, with Tommy rumoured to have spent the night with the mother of his daughter.
The Maebe founder has hinted the kiss will be addressed in her upcoming documentary series. Molly-Mae confirmed in a recent YouTube vlog that cameras are still on hand to capture “realness” in her life for Molly-Mae: Behind It All. During a recent vlog, Molly-Mae explained: "The documentary is six episodes, and the first three drop on the 17th of this month with Amazon Prime.
"And then we’re currently in the process of filming the secondary lot of three which will drop a couple of months later. So yeah, still filming. I had a nice break, I actually filmed for the first time again - was it last night or the night before? When a little bit of a - not a crisis broke out, but, you know, another day in the office.”
Despite rumours of a reconnection between Molly-Mae and Tommy, Paris Fury has reportedly warned the businesswoman to steer clear.Amid the rumours, an insider says Paris, 35, is worried for Molly-Mae’s future happiness if she chooses to get back with Tommy for good.
“Paris often feels like she’s stuck in the middle of the drama and has to play the grown up and smooth things over. Paris does have her own concerns that she’s trying to chat through with Molly, in a very subtle way," a source claimed. "She’s worried that the two weren’t really split for long enough to get their heads together and really understand and process things.
“For now, she’s told Molly not to take him back. She believes they need more time to fully think about it and what went wrong."
