Love Island's Tom Clare slams Georgia Harrison over insensitive dig over Casey's return
Casey O'Gorman has returned to the Love Island villa for a third time, and while his ex Georgia Harrison had something to say, best friend Tom Clare has also weighed in on the feud
by Nikki Onafuye · The MirrorLove Island's Georgia Harrison has been slammed by Islander Tom Clare over her reaction to Casey O'Gorman heading back to the Love Island villa for a third chance at love.
While fans were left confused as to why Casey was back for the third time, his ex Georgia also had something to say about it.
Casey, 28, originally entered during series nine of the hit show, before also turning up last year for the first ever All Stars series. His third stint on the ITV2 dating series has sparked quite the reaction, especially from his ex Georgia, who took a jibe at him in the comments section of his announcement.
She wrote: “Grandad said good luck” – making reference to the moment in last year's Love Island All Stars series where Casey revealed to Georgia why they'd split up. In last year's series, Casey admitted to Georgia he was thrown when she claimed she saw Casey's dead grandfather while on a spiritual retreat.
Casey’s best friend Tom Clare, who won the first Love Island All Star series with partner Molly Smith, hit back at Georgia after she posted the insensitive comment. Tom replied to Georgia with: “very insensitive thing to say? he was so close with his Grandad”.
This year's All Stars line-up includes Curtis Pritchard, Gabby Allen, Kaz Crossley, Nas Majeed, Marcel Somerville and Scott Thomas.
Two bombshells have already been thrown into the mix with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Casey entering the villa as late comers. Casey's arrival was met with mixed reviews by the Islanders as Kaz Crossley made a dig at him moments after he walked through the door.
Moment before his arrival, initial bombshell Ekin-Su disrupted the couples by stealing Curtis Pritchard from Kaz - leaving the latter on the shelf. Casey's arrival meant they were then immediately coupled together. But then Kaz sharpened her knife as Casey began to explain what his type of girl is like.
While he described his ideal date, Kaz savagely remarked: “Love Island girls… outside the Villa, too.” Her comment hit Casey hard and the pair then began to argue with Kaz declaring: "Georgia is one of my friends and you didn't treat her well." But Casey challenged her, saying it was just something "you heard" - but Kaz doubled down saying he had "f**ked over" her friend.
Last year, Casey clashed with his ex Georgia on the show after the pair dated in the outside world. Casey admitted it "didn't end great" with Georgia, as she had been blocked on Instagram for a while after they fell out.
As they chatted through what happened, Georgia admitted she blocked him after he ghosted her for two weeks. She said: "You acted like you really cared about me during the time we did speak… you always said you really liked me."
Whilst Casey insisted he did care about her, Georgia said she didn't make the effort. He explained that he had cared, but she was adamant he didn't do anything for her birthday. She told him: "I thought you might make an effort but you didn't."
In a heartbreaking admission, Georgia explained she was "really hurt" by what Casey had done. She told the cameras in the Beach Hut: "As much as I'm glad to see him here, I was really hurt by that situation.”
