Lily Allen has opened up about how she’s coping in the wake of her split from David Harbour.

It was reported last month that Lily, 39, had split from actor David, 49, after four years of marriage. Neither Lily nor David have yet to publicly comment on the speculation, but this week the doting mum-of-two confirmed she has not been faring well lately.

The Smile singer said she is ‘not in a good place’ and having panic attacks that are impacting her life. What’s more, Lily worryingly added that the situation is ‘spiralling’.

Speaking on her and Miquita Oliver’s Miss Me? podcast in an episode released on Thursday, Lily bravely shared: “I'm finding it hard to be interested in anything, I'm really not in a good place. I know I've been talking about it for months but I've been spiralling and spiralling. It's got out of control, I've tried.”

She went on: “I came to the Miss Me? Christmas lunch and had a panic attack and had to go home and then I went to see something at the theatre the other night with my friends and I had to leave at half time. I can't concentrate on anything except the pain I'm going through. It's really hard.”

Lily also touched upon the two daughters she shares with her ex Sam Cooper - Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11 - telling Miquita: “They are always there and you have to be present and there for them. And that's okay, when things in life are going well and you're coping it's really nice to have the kids around. They're a joy.

“One of the main sources of joy in one's life. But when things are not going so well and life is tough, as it is for many people for all manner of reasons, having to hold things together is really hard.”

Rumours of her split from David began circulating when Lily was spotted back on dating app Raya, when in reality she had only joined to suss out whether husband David was back on it, according to The Mail on Sunday.

The paper reports that the actor was back on Raya reportedly looking for new matches. Friends of the star said: “Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing. She has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago."

David was more than a partner to Lily — he also has supported her as she began her journey of sobriety, neither of them touching a drop of alcohol since the early days of their five-year romance.

But in recent months her marriage appeared to be on very shaky ground. Lily and David were last pictured together in October in New York where they share a home. Lily has not been seen wearing her wedding ring in recent clips on her podcast.
