Noel Gallagher seen at 10 hour Oasis rehearsal - but Liam nowhere to be seen

Noel Gallagher is back in the rehearsal studios - but sadly there was no sign of brother Liam. The 57-year-old will play plenty of solos during the live Oasis sets this Summer and has also no doubt begun to re-learn and practice some of the old Oasis tracks before reuniting with his brother and the rest of the band.

And this week he was photographed in London after a 10 hour recording and rehearsal session thought to be him working on new demos as well as rehearsing for the Summer.

Wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, Noel looked ready for some sleep as he left. One onlooker said: “He was in the studio for hours on end recording and practicing songs. With any luck the results could mean some new material before the end of the year.”

Whilst fans will also hope this could mean a new Oasis song or even an album, Noel has released four solo studio albums himself in recent years.

But for now it seems his main priority will be Oasis and their comeback, after ticket sales led to chaos last year. Fans were whipped into a frenzy at the first chance to see the brothers on stage together since 2009 when a backstage braw in Paris sparked a mass fallout between Liam and Noel.

Following the tour announcement, Liam dismissed rumours that he and Noel were still not speaking. The frontman did however, reveal that he and Noel won't be giving any joint interviews ahead of the Oasis tour despite the thawing of their years-long feud.

Liam, 52, revealed on X that the brothers "don't want to do interviews coz we're scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship".

Earlier this week Noel broke his silence in a new book to talk about the Oasis Live 25 tour. He told photographer Kevin Cummins: "I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.”

He was also quizzed to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: "Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock'n'Roll Star."

Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together since the band split in 2009 on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The line up for the band is also now thought to have been completed with rehearsals for the whole band also expected to start soon in the coming month.

Liam and Noel Gallagher are bringing in newcomer Joey Waronker on drums alongside more established former Oasis band members on guitars.

The full line up is thought to be Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker.

The shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends up the band. Richard has an association with Oasis going right back to when they first began in the early Nineties.

One of Oasis’s first national tours was as support to The Verve back in 1993, often playing to just a few hundred people several months before their debut single ‘Supersonic’ was released.

They were back together again in 1995, with The Verve supporting Oasis at The Bataclan in Paris before featuring as special guests at the giant tent show at Scotland’s Irving Beach.

Richard said: “As a fan from day one I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’s return was announced. I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work. It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy.

Now it’s time to create more memories and I’m ready to bring it. See you next summer. Music is power.”
