Paul Danan's ex-girlfriend admits Hollyoaks star 'hid his pain well' in heartbreaking tribute

Paul Danan's ex-girlfriend Lady Isabella Hervey - who had an on and off romance with the Hollyoaks actor on Celebrity Love Island - has paid tribute to her ex in a heartbreaking message

Paul Danan's ex-girlfriend Lady Isabella Hervey has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her ex.

The pair met on Celebrity Love Island and enjoyed an on and off romance whilst on the show. Tragically, Paul's management announced yesterday that he had passed away at the age of 46.

In a statement, his management said: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old. Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many. His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him. During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues. No further comments will be made at this time."

A police statement confirmed: "Officers attended a property in Brislington, Bristol, at around 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 January) where sadly a man in his 40s was declared deceased by paramedics.

"His family have been notified and our thoughts are with them. They have asked for people to respect their privacy during this incredibly difficult time. His death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are preparing a file for the coroner."

Now Lady Isabella has posted a sad tribute to Paul, where she said he had "covered his pain well".

Taking to social media, Isabella shared: "Pauly, I don’t know what to tell you as I’m still in utter shock you're gone. You were the kindest/ biggest hearted person/ so thoughtful/ always making me laugh when I was going through tough times over these two years. In fact you worried a lot about me and meanwhile you were in pain.

"I wish I had known as you covered it well. You bought out the best in me on Love Island, who I truly am. You promised to visit me but now you're gone. I will hold on to the good times and your incredible sense of humour. You never failed to make me laugh so hard id cry. Rest well and I cannot comprehend this is the end. I do not want to. Bella."

Just last year, Paul opened up about his near death experience after suffering from respiratory failure. He said: "I was dead - it's a miracle I'm here. I'm upstairs puffing away on my vape then suddenly I lost my breath and collapsed. My family called for an ambulance and started giving me CPR, then police arrived and took over before paramedics took me to hospital."
