Danny Jones breaks cover with friends as he apologises to wife in statement
McFly singer Danny Jones, who was spotted kissing Maura Higgins earlier this month, broke his cover during a day out with friends before sharing a grovelling apology to his wife

The McFly singer has been hitting headlines after it was revealed he and Maura Higgins shared a drunken smooch at a BRIT Awards afterparty on March 1. One week after their kiss became public knowledge, it emerged that Danny and Maura were partying the night away with one another.
Onlookers claimed they left the party at 6am after sinking bottles of wine with one another before making a joint exit from the party. Danny, along with his wife Georgia Horsley, have been keeping a low profile until earlier this week when they were spotted enjoying a stroll.
Hours before Danny released a statement apologising to his family on Instagram, he was seen spending some time with his friends. During his day out, he rocked black sweatpants, a black hoodie and a green cap. He smiled and seemed relaxed as he hung out with two of his pals.
The trio were enjoying a walk in the park before they got in a car to leave. It comes as Danny took to his Stories to share a statement with his one million Instagram Stories. The McFly singer said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
"I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Meanwhile, a source close to Danny revealed he was "mortified" by what happened as well as the "awful situation he has put everyone in".
They said: "Danny has been mortified about whats happened and the awful situation he has put everyone in. He cares so deeply about his family and hopes his words will draw a line under what has been a deeply upsetting time, for everyone. Georgia and his son are absolutely everything to him.
"Throughout all this, he has been so thankful for the support of his fans. He just wants to move on, and heal in private." The source added: "Fair play to Danny to owning this and addressing things head-on." I'm A Celeb winner Danny and Maura went to the Universal Music afterparty at 180 The Strand after the BRITs.
It was at the party he was spotted kissing the star. Danny was seen giving Maura a peck before moving in to kiss her on the lips in front of onlookers. An insider said that they "seemed to be having a great time," adding: "They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss."
