Disney confirm Caroline Flack documentary five years after her tragic death
A new documentary film focusing on late TV presenter Caroline Flack has been announced by Disney, which will focusing on her life story, as told by her mum Christine
by Danni King · The MirrorDisney has confirmed a new documentary film focusing on the life of late TV presenter Caroline Flack is in the works.
The feature-length programme is being created by Disney+ and Curious Films, with the same team as the 2021 documentary, Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, behind the project.
The documentary, which is yet to be given an official title, will tell the story of Caroline's life through the eyes of her mum Christine, as she looks at the star's career while searching for answers surrounding her daughter's tragic death.
Caroline passed away in February 2020 when she was 40 years old.
The programme will feature first hand testimonies from Caroline's friends and family, as Caroline looks to find the truth behind the circumstances which contributed to Caroline taking her own life. It's been confirmed that the documentary will be released in 2025.
Christine said: “I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging.
"I’m pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.”
Dov Freedman, Executive Producer, Curious Films added, “It’s not often that you feel the need to return to a subject, but nearly five years after Caroline's tragic death, we know there are still many unanswered questions for Christine and her family that need to be addressed.
"We’re proud to be collaborating with the Flack family once again, working together to seek some form of resolution to the tragic events surrounding Caroline's death.”

The project will be executive produced by Dov Freedman, Charlie Russell and Jessie Versluys for Curious Films. The documentary will be directed by Christian Collerton and produced by Sophie Clayton-Payne.
The documentary was commissioned by Sean Doyle, Executive Director, Unscripted and is executive produced by Gaby Aung, Senior Manager, Unscripted for Disney+.
Caroline was famed for hosting numerous TV shows. She rose to fame as the presenter of spin-off shows luding I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! and The Xtra Factor, before going on to become the main host of ITV2's Love Island.
