ITV I'm A Celebrity fans all say the same thing as GK Barry and Dean McCullough fail trial
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! viewers didn't hold back their thoughts as campmates GK Barry and Dean McCullough completely fail their trail and get zero stars
by Mia O'Hare · The MirrorGK Barry and Dean McCullough had fans all saying the same thing as they got zero stars in their I'm A Celebrity trial.
The social media influencer, 25, and the BBC Radio 1 DJ were put up for the trial by the public. They were tasked with standing in a tank, that slowly filled with water and creatures. Dean stood above GK - real name Grace Keeling - and had to put his hand in different boxes to try and find a key. He then had to pass it to GK down a tube, yet her tank was filling with water.
The key slipped through her hands and into the water, meaning she had to search for it. GK then needed to try to unlock the stars at the bottom of her tank, which were padlocked shut. However, time quickly ran out and the pair got no stars. After the trial, viewers took to social media to declare it was unfair on GK.
One said: "Not fair with the stars been locked #ImACeleb." Another added: "To be fair that looked so difficult! So unfortunate the times Grace did go down, none of the keys worked. How frustrating for them." Someone else commented: "That was a tough task. it didn't seem fair!"
A fourth wrote: "to be fair i’d be fuming if i was grace, dean spent the first half of the trial screaming." One fan shared: "To be fair, this trial is really hard. I feel quite sorry for Grace." Another quipped: "I know Dean & GK are scared but to be fair this trial is really hard."
The I'm A Celebrity camp is soon set to get a shakeup as two new arrivals. Former Love Island star Maura Higgins and Reverand Richard Coles have confirmed they are entering camp to shake things up. Maura will become only the second ever Love Islander to take part in I'm A Celebrity after Olivia Attwood 's short stint.
She is determined to fly the flag for the show’s former contestants as she told the Mirror : “I just don't want to let people down, because everyone's been DMing me, saying 'Oh my God, I hope you're doing the show.’ I don't want to back out of the trials and be the biggest wimp in the camp.”
Maura admitted her mum was left flabbergasted when she told her she’d signed up for the Jungle. “She nearly died. She went: 'Maura, how are you going to do that?’ She is baffled as I'm more of an indoor girl…I like my hotels. I've never slept outside." Meanwhile, Reverend Richard Coles told us his preparation for the jungle entailed consuming 5000 calories a day on a cruise and avoiding ‘triggering’ nature documentaries.
The star said: “I would like to say that I've been lowering my calorie intake to prepare for that, but that's not worked out so far. I've been trying not to look at nature programs about the horrors of Australia.” The 62-year-old confessed he is worried about his snoring and “everybody wanting to kill me because I keep them awake at night.”
