Tulisa's best friend speaks out on close bond with I'm A Celeb's Alan Halsall

With N-Dubz star Tulisa and Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall among the single campmates in the jungle, could an I'm A Celebrity romance be on the cards?

N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos and Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall - aka Tyrone Dobbs - have already earned the affectionate nickname 'N-Dobbs.'

But could romance blossom in the I'm A Celebrity jungle for the single pair? Tulisa's best pal Michelle McKenna hasn't ruled it out as she opened up on the 36-year-old Young singer's love life during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine.

It comes after Tulisa revealed she has been celibate for three years and identifies as 'demisexual' - a sexual orientation where attraction is based on an emotional connection over the primary physical butterflies you get when you first meet someone.

Asked if Tulisa was looking for love Down Under, Michelle said: "I think she would like to meet someone. It's been a long time. But it's meeting the right one isn't it She's going with the flow." Cheeky Lorraine then suggested there could be a potential romance brewing between Tulisa and her fellow camp leader Alan, 42.

Lorraine teased: "Obviously she's getting on very well with Alan. They're both single and there is of course this N-Dobbs thing with their name. So you never know, is what I'm saying." Michelle didn't say Alan wasn't Tulisa's type and simply answered: "You never know. We'll just have to watch."

And it seems fans are here for it too with many taking to social media to voice their opinions on the subject. One wrote: "Tulisa and Alan would make a great couple!" Another said: "Tulisa 7 Alan, a new couple? (stranger things have happened) #ImACeleb." A third observed: "Tulisa and Alan looking like a couple rocking up to watch their child play football on a Saturday morning #ImACeleb." While a fourth added: "Guys I'm rooting for the Tulisa & Alan love story #ImACeleb."

Opening up about her love life on the ITV show, Tulisa revealed she had briefly used celebrity dating app Raya, but had never made it on a date. She said: "Even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there.

"I’m proper guarded. I feel like I’m demisexual, I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone … I need actual depth. I’m a slow, slow burner. I’ve been celibate for over three years."

Asked what she meant by that, Tulisa explained: “For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”

She shared the thought of sleeping with someone without a genuine connection makes her feel “physically sick.” She added: “This is my temple, you cannot enter!” And cheeky Alan quipped: "It sounds like a Bushtucker Trial where you’ve got to find a key to Tulisa’s temple!"
