Final Fantasy 14: Evercold is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027 with early access available starting on February 19, 2027, which is a slight delay from the initial January 2027 release window that Square Enix has put out. Along with the new release date, Yoshida revealed some never-before-seen footage of the upcoming expansion. He also unveiled the game's next new job, the Zephyr. The Zephyr is a ranged DPS character who fights with a crossbow and a trusty avian familiar. In addition, players got to check out some of the expansion's new characters and new areas, including Sessyrmnir, Realmship of Earth. Sessyrmnir is described as one of the Fourth's five massive airships, one so big that its surface is practically a world in itself with settlements and fields.
This is only a small taste of what's coming to Final Fantasy 14: Evercold. As of this post, Yoshida's keynote is ongoing, so it's likely he'll have plenty more to show off. Look for Final Fantasy 14: Evercold to come to all of Final Fantasy 14 Online's platforms, including the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 version. Pre-orders for Evercold are set to begin on Wednesday, November 4.
