Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion gives players one of its new classes now for pre-order
The next expansion will have two new classes for players to check out, and the Paladin is available now for those who pre-purchase Lord of Hatred.
by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsAt The Game Awards 2025, Activision Blizzard revealed the next big thing coming for Diablo 4 with its Lord of Hatred expansion. That expansion is set for release in April 2026, but players can enjoy one part of it now for the cost of a pre-order. The Paladin class is a pre-order unlock that will be available as soon as players make their purchase of Lord of Hatred from now until its release.
Activision Blizzard shared the details of the pre-order Paladin class for Diablo 4 in a FAQ related to the contents of various editions of the Lord of Hatred expansion. Every edition of the Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred expansion will get access to the Paladin class upon purchase for use in the current version of Diablo 4. You don’t have to wait for the expansion next year.
Other higher tier versions of the Lord of Hatred expansion have a variety of bonuses, including unique armor sets, cosmetics, the premium in-game currency, and access to the premium battle pass that will launch with Lord of Hatred. However, having the new class now is quite a nice incentive. The Paladin was looking full of holy wrath when it came to the trailer during The Game Awards 2025, so we’re expecting the class will play just as righteously in the game.
