Square Enix has announced that Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2 will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1. Both games were previously released on the first Switch, but these new ports will come with improved performance and visual fidelity.

The announcement came in a new trailer. The RPGs will be available in both physical and digital versions. Square Enix is also offering them in a digital bundle.

Players in Japan won’t have to wait nearly as long as those in the United States, as the Switch 2 ports for Octopath Traveler 1 and 2 are releasing today in the region.

The most recent entry in the series, Octopath Traveler 0, came to the Switch 2 when it launched last year. Square Enix has also teased the addition of a new character (who looks a lot like Elliot from Square Enix’s latest HD-2D RPG) to that game in a future update.
