Helldivers 2 comes to Xbox in August

The Xbox version of Helldivers 2 will be crossplay compatible.

Helldivers 2, one of the breakout multiplayer hits and the sequel to the 2015 co-op shooter, is coming to Xbox. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by PlayStation Studios, Helldivers 2 will come to Xbox Series X|S on August 26.

Microsoft announced the Xbox launch for Helldivers 2 with a new trailer and a post on Xbox Wire. Helldivers 2 was originally released for the PS5 and PC in February 2024. 18 months later, it’ll be coming to the rival Xbox Series X platform.

In the blog post, Microsoft confirms that Helldivers 2 will support crossplay with the PS5 and PC versions of the game. The third-person shooter has continued to receive content updates that add new locations and enemies since its launch last year.

Helldivers 2 is the rare PlayStation-published game to get an Xbox release, following in the footsteps of MLB The Show. Helldivers 2’s August 26 release date will coincide with the release of Gears of War: Reloaded, which will come to PS5.
