The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 announced
Nintendo will also release a Pro Controller and carrying case based on the Zelda franchise.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsNintendo concluded its Zelda-focused Direct by revealing a Special Edition Switch 2 console based on the iconic franchise. It features green Joy-Cons, the legendary Triforce, and a black and gold patterned dock. It’ll be released on October 29, 2026, just before the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
In addition to the console itself, Nintendo also showed off a Switch 2 Pro Controller and carrying case based on The Legend of Zelda. The Pro Controller, which features a green, black, and gold design, will also have a display stand for fans who want to show off the unique accessory.
The full suite of Zelda anniversary Switch 2 products will come out a week before the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which got an extended gameplay showing during the Zelda-focused Nintendo Direct.
