Developer Eclipse Glow Games brought a full-blown boss fight to Thursday's Xbox Partner Preview event. Players got a first look at some of the action for the upcoming Tides of Annihilation. While the four-minute boss battle's action is certainly enough to grab a viewer's attention, it's the game's visuals that may impress even more.

Tides of Annihilation's four-minute trailer puts a full boss battle on display. Gwendolyn, one of the game's lead characters, faces off against Tyronoe, The Ferryman, who is one of the eight sisters of Morgan le Fay. The fight starts in London and stretches to the Otherworld realm of Avalon, as players are treated to some of the game's combat mechanics and unique ally system. The Dual Frontline Battle system introduced Lamorak and allowed players to control both him and Gwendolyn across the fight.

While Tides of Annihilation wound up being one of the big showcase pieces for this Xbox Partner Preview event, it's interesting to note that all of the footage in this trailer was captured on PC. Whether the console versions will maintain this level of quality remains to be seen. Tides of Annihilation is set to come to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with future support for Xbox Play Anywhere (XPA) expected. There is no release window for the game at this time.
