by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsWith Pokemon having its 30th anniversary since the first games brought the franchise to the world, there are lofty expectations for what the Pokemon Company will do with such an exciting milestone. Well, one of its plans is to appear in Super Bowl LX. The Pokemon Company announced it would have an ad during the big showdown between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
The Pokemon Company teased its Super Bowl LX ad on its official social media this week. On February 8, 2026, during Super Bowl LX, the ad will air, celebrating 30 years of the Pokemon franchise. Whether we’ll get an announcement out of that, or if its just feel-good vibes, remains to be seen, but we do know from the teaser that the company shared that it will feature Jigglypuff.
Three decades of Pokemon is a lot of Pokemon. We’ve had incredible experiences across tons of media in video games, card games, TV, movies, music, and more, and last year capped off nicely with Pokemon Legends: Z-A launching to exciting acclaim and reaching more than 12 million unit sales. The fun continues in 2026 with Pokopia, and that’s one of our most anticipated games of 2026 so far.
There’s a lot to celebrate with the Pokemon franchise hitting its 30th anniversary. Tune into the Super Bowl next weekend to see how The Pokemon Company kicks off the festivities, and stay tuned to the Pokemon topic for more news and coverage.
